Arrival in Windhoek

Transfer to your guesthouse in the city. After check-in, take time to refresh, relax, or enjoy a short rest after your journey. Later, your rental vehicle will be delivered to the guesthouse, where a representative will provide a full briefing, including maps, vouchers, and itinerary highlights. Evening assistance can include arranging a dinner reservation at a local restaurant. This gentle first day allows you to recover from travel and prepare for the exciting self-drive safari adventure beginning tomorrow.

Day 2

Windhoek to Okonjima

After breakfast, depart Windhoek for Okonjima Reserve, home of the AfriCat Foundation. The scenic drive passes open farmland and rolling plains, with opportunities to stop for photos or refreshments. Orientation introduces the reserve’s wildlife rehabilitation and conservation programmes, giving insight into the daily work with leopards and brown hyenas.
