On returning from a magical trip from Kenya, I want to say how well organised every detail was for me. I travelled on my own to Moon's camp Nanyuki, Ollepango, and Instinct of the Mara. The accomodation was excellent, the service fantastic and the meals unrivalled. Jonny discussed with me what I wanted, and arranged everything without a hitch. I have already asked him to arrange a similar holiday next year. Thank you for such a wonderful trip.

Thanks Wild Paths for an amazing trip to Kenya - one which we will always remember. It's gone so well we're now booked on another adventure to South Africa in 10 months time! We love how each trip is carefully curated, to suit the needs of the travellers rather than off the shelf packages. Couldn't reccomend you guys enough!

We’ve had three weeks to peer through a window (literally and metaphorically) into a different world in Namibia and Botswana. A world of wonderful, abundant wildlife and ever changing landscapes from desert sand dunes to flooded plains and dramatic mountains. We’ve grown accustomed to the joyous heat of a predictably ever-present sun.

We are incredibly lucky to witness it all from a nice air conditioned car during the day and fancy lodges in the evenings.
Most of the local rural population living in simple huts, still don’t have electricity or running water but somehow always manage a smile and a wave despite the obvious gulf between them and rich tourists. We’ve often felt out of place but never unwelcome or unsafe.

We covered 4,350 km, mostly on dusty gravel and stone roads/tracks and slept in 13 different beds, one without a roof but a great view of the night sky instead. I’ve enjoyed eating exceptional oryx, elan, springbok and even kudu steaks (“when in Namibia” as the saying goes).

We saw so many animals and came home with nearly 1,000 photos to prove it, but most of all we are coming home with plenty of great memories of two very welcoming Sub-Saharan African countries (only 46 to go).

Had the most mazing trip to Namibia organised at short notice by Jonny. The whole trip went to plan due to the organisation behind the trip.accomodation was excellent vehicle was great ,food was five star and the support Jonny and the Namibian team was outstanding no detail was missed, down to an esky and freezer pads in the vehicle.would recommend Jonny to anyone thinking of travel to Africa. We’re already planning our next trip back to Namibia and Botswana with Jonny.

We were fortunate enough to visit Kairiga National Park on a safari organised by Johnny at Wild Paths for our family, including our children aged 10 and 8.

Johnny’s organisation was outstanding. Every detail had been carefully thought through, which meant we could completely relax and enjoy the experience without having to worry about a thing. The safari itself was magical. The guides were excellent, and we were lucky enough to see almost every animal we had hoped for.

Three nights felt like the perfect length of stay. The food was exceptional, and we felt thoroughly looked after from start to finish.

It was truly a once in a lifetime trip that we will never forget. Thank you again to Johnny for organising everything so beautifully and taking such good care of us.

I couldn't recommend Johnny enough and hope to book another trip through him sometime in the future

As a family of nine and spanning three generations, we were thrilled with our trip to Kenya over Christmas and New Year 2025/26, so superbly organised by Jonny May/Wild Paths.
From the flights, hotel stay and tour in Nairobi, safaris in Nairobi National Park and Mbulia Hills and beach resort in Diani, Mombasa as well as all flight, train and other connections, everything was superbly organised and the attention to detail by Jonny was second to none.
The trip proved to be everything we had anticipated, expected and more. One family from our party is returning in June 2027 - that’s how wonderful it was!
Thank you Jonny from us all.

Recently returned from a 4 night safari in two locations in the Masi Mara. Jonny and Wild Paths did an excellent job planning exactly what we wanted while staying within our budget. We stayed a 2 different camps. Julia's River Camp and Instinct of the Mara. Both were perfect and offered different activities. The planning and communication was very easy and I would highly recommend Wild Paths.

My husband and I had been wanting to book a safari for many years but struggled to find a sustainable and ethically conscious provider, until we spoke with Jonny at Wild Paths, who not only created us a fantastic itinerary, including our key destinations in Tanzania but used local providers ensuring our money benefited the local communities. Jonny provided a personal service throughout the process, checking in with us at every stage. The travel itinerary all went smoothly and accommodation he recommended was a great variety of camps and lodges, all combining comfort and great hospitality whilst being at the heart of the action; it was incredible eating our breakfast whilst watching the elephants take a drink, a privilege watching a giraffe suckle her calf whilst we had an evening sundowner and awesome listening to lions roaring whilst being tucked up safely in bed! The local tour company Jonny chose for us were amazing, with high standards of safety and service as well as excellent knowledge and insight into the wildlife - we saw more animals than we were expecting including all big five but the smaller, rarer sights like the two Servals or the Jackal cubs were truly the highlight. We definitely ticked Safari off our bucket list and would go again with Wild Paths in a heartbeat , I cannot recommend them enough!
A family of 4 ( children 2 and 3 yrs old) We took a trip with Wild Paths in February to Kenya. It was magical, More than just a safari and beach we visited projects and met people who are changing lives for the better across the country. It felt great to be a part (even if just a small part) of. 30% of all profits raised from Wild Paths goes to conservation, that was a big part of why we booked with them. The trip was very well planned and faultless through out. We felt safe at all times. 100% recommend booking a trip with these guys. We will book again for sure. A glowing review from us!

What We Love About Classic Safaris

Safari camps

They come in all shapes and sizes and we’ve visited as many as we can! We generally choose smaller properties, owner run where possible and only camps that are positively impacting their environment and people.

Guides

A good guide makes a good holiday, an excellent guide could change your life! Our local partners invest in their guides and treat and pay them fairly. Our guides bring their environment to life for you.

Wildlife

We choose your safari based on which animals you would love to see. Whether you’re obsessed with baby elephants or dreaming of lion prides, we know the best places to find them all.

Our Purpose

We choose our local partners, safari camps and guides based on their ability to offer incredible experiences and their commitment to people, the planet, and wildlife. We’ve worked with many of them for years.

  • Every holiday we create aligns with our purpose to support conservation through the power of travel
  • We measure the carbon cost of each trip and invest in projects that remove emissions and celebrate the wild
  • 30% of profits are donated to charities, supporting conservation, communities and biodiversity.
