What We Love

Wildlife

Roan antelope, sable, wild dog, big cats, elephant, and giraffe inhabit Usangu. The wetland habitat supports diverse bird species and offers opportunities to discover new amphibians, making it a rich environment for wildlife enthusiasts and researchers alike.

Experience

Guests enjoy private game drives, walks, boat trips, and night drives with expert guides. Usangu also offers unforgettable sleep-out experiences, where a bed is set in the wilderness, with a ranger for protection and only a mosquito net overhead.

Impact

Usangu partners with the Douglas Bell Eco Research Station, involving guests in conservation efforts. Visitors can join researchers, monitor predators, set camera traps, and analyze wildlife images to support the camp’s conservation initiatives.

Every trip you book with Wild Paths actively contributes to protecting the wildlife and places you’ll visit. We choose partners and camps based on their commitment to conservation and local communities.
