Emboo River Camp
Masai Mara Game Reserve
Emboo River is the most forward-thinking safari camp in Kenya. Every aspect of their impact has been considered, from electric vehicles and solar-powered camp facilities to an organic garden.

What We Love
Wildlife
Though always popular during Migration time, this area in the Mara is jam-packed with wildlife year-round. It’s a great place to see cheetah and leopard, while hyena and lion are often heard at night and seen most days.
Experience
As the camp is located within the Masai Mara National Reserve, the main activity is game drives, you benefit from being in the thick of the action, so expect wildlife as soon as you leave camp.
Impact
No water is wasted, the swimming pool uses new technology to avoid chemical use, and the camp advises guests on what to bring to minimize waste. It is also one of the few Kenya lodges working with female guides.
About Emboo River Camp
The camp is located in the heart of the Masai Mara National Reserve, on the banks of the Talek River, an incredible spot to see the Great Migration river crossings (July – October). The beautiful River View and River Suite tents overlook the Talek River. The tents are decorated by local artisans with sustainability in mind. This camp has a modern feel that aligns with the ethos and vibe found here. We absolutely love everything about Emboo and hope they continue to inspire the rest of the safari industry.

Our Impact
We choose our local partners, safari camps and guides based on their ability to offer incredible experiences and their commitment to people, the planet, and wildlife. We’ve worked with many of them for years.
- Every holiday we create aligns with our purpose to support conservation through the power of travel
- We measure the carbon cost of each trip and invest in projects that remove emissions and celebrate the wild
- 30% of profits are donated to charities, supporting conservation, communities and biodiversity.
