House in the Wild
Enonkishu Mara Conservancy
House in the Wild is located on the banks of the Mara River in a community coexistence conservancy. Owner run and managed, House in the Wild welcomes you as family and creates incredible safari and community experiences.

What We Love
Wildlife
Regular sightings of big cats with leopard and lion in particular being very strong here. Hippo and crocodile are often seen directly from your room and communal areas. It’s truly incredible how quickly the wild has reclaimed these old farms.
Experience
Game drives explore the conservancies of the greater Mara ecosystem. Guests can get out on foot with two white rhino that are protected in the nearby sanctuary. Definitely worth visiting the Mara Training Centre for tree planting and beading.
Impact
So much good being done here including women empowerment initiatives – Women in the Wild. Local Schools are supported, building classrooms and creating conservation libraries to empower the next generation of conservationists.
About House in the Wild
A re-wilding success story, regenerating heavily managed agricultural land back to pristine wilderness where wildlife thrives. House in the Wild fully aligns with our purpose and we actively support everything they do. The cottages are created to appreciate the views of the Mara Rover and are beautifully decorated. Food is grown locally and most of the staff have worked with the owners from when it was still a farm, they live on the conservancy so you are exploring their home.
